I am an instructional designer and user-experience researcher focused on the role of digital media in learning. I have designed curriculum and directed educational programs for K-12, afterschool, and teacher education, and have conducted ethnographic studies of young people's media use in school and home contexts. In sum, I am interested in using research on how young people learn with media to aid in designing innovative and effective learning experiences.
