Biography of Lisa Troyer,
Author of A Place to Belong

Believing in the truth that we are called to make an impact in the lives of our spouse, family, community and ‘the ends of the earth’, God has graciously availed numerous and often surprising opportunities for Lisa. Sometimes referred to by friends as the ‘singing executive’, wife, mom, radio personality, recording artist, speaker and author Lisa Troyer finds herself heart-deep in activities that are changing lives forever.

Recent radio airplay in Germany via national programmers SWR and BLR Networks has opened additional interest in the European market. In partnership with Wendell & Carrie (Blackaby) Webb, Lisa has shared the ‘place to belong’ paradigm with women in Germany, Switzerland and The Netherlands. The European release of her devotional worship album ‘Macchiato Moments’ is represented by Universal Music’s affiliate Artists & Acts in Munich, Germany.

Her debut studio album, Meet Me at the Well, was released in early 2010 by LifeStage Records, a division of Mission House Music. Lisa and the Circle of Friends worship team released two singles to Christian radio. Both became Top 20 songs on Christian Radio Weekly’s AC Global Chart. Her single, “You Are My Shelter,” from the album Between a Rock and a Grace Place, has also impacted the charts with a Top 10 position on the Christian Radio Weekly Worship Chart, as well as received a “most added” mention in Billboard Magazine. Lisa has recently signed with LifeWay as songwriter for the well known publisher and will release songs co-written with John Hartley, Chris Eaton and LifeWay Songwriter of the Year, Paul Marino. Many know these writers as contributors to award winning recording artists Cliff Richard, Amy Grant, Keith Urban and American Idol winner and rising Country Music star Scotty McCreery.

With sensitivity to the “heartbeat” of emotion, Lisa sings frequently, along with songwriting partner Dawn Yoder, not only for the annual Circle of Friends conference, but also for a variety of other conferences in the US and Europe throughout the year. She also speaks and conducts songwriting workshops. Just recently, Lisa added “author” to her list of outreach venues.. Her first book, A Place to Belong: Out of Our Comfort Zone and into God’s Adventure by Barbour Publishing, has sold well since it’s release in 2011 and in July '13 Barbour will be releasing the follow-up COME AS YOU ARE
