i believe that joy is a nutrient. i believe in treating our bodies with the same love and attention we bestow on our dearest friends. i believe in the personhood of mothers. i believe in going barefoot with both feet and heart. i write, and study expressive arts therapy, and brew up herbal lotions and teas to heal both body and spirit. i am first and foremost an advocate of authentic, embodied happiness; for i have seen families and communities and bioregions utterly transformed by one person's joy.
