As his assistant and the group's coordinator Liz organized community leaders and local, state and federal elected officials in the formulation of plans and documentation and making the resulting presentations to Congressional Committees in Washington, DC. Succeeded in garnering the federal votes for staving off the scheduled closing of Homestead Air Force Base.
