Sophie Brookes
Sophie is a qualified primary school teacher with over a decade's experience. She has a special interest in Early Years education and firmly believes that good foundations are the basis of later success. Sophie also specialises in older children who need a more creative and individual approach.
Sophie has taught in the state, independent and international sectors. She was Head of Early Years at a top North London Prep School, during which time she was also a Teacher Moderator for the borough of Camden. Sophie also had an article published in Early Years Educator Magazine during this time.
Sophie has also worked one-to-one with children who are disenfranchised from the school system for one reason or another, through a fabulous agency which specialises in taking a different approach for children who cannot access traditional education.
Sophie set up little shoots tutoring with the aim of supporting both parents and children and to work flexibly after she had her daughter. Extremely successful and sort after she ended up working seven days a week!
Sophie is also the author of the blog
learningfromtheleftside.wordpress.com
which is designed to help parents with common questions.
Sophie recently closed little shoots tutoring as she has been offered a fantastic job with a highly respected independent school in South East Asia.
