Nicole Livas

I'm an independent journalist, speaker, and coach based in Washington, DC.

I'm led by faith and lessons learned during a mission trip to Haiti, a silent yoga retreat, and Oprah's Life You Want tour-- which included a quick chat with the legend.

I most recently served as a main anchor at WAVY-TV in my hometown of Norfolk, Virginia. I still fill-in co-host on the lifestyles program, "The Hampton Roads Show".

My duties went way beyond on-air. I also produced special reports and stories and a blog for WAVY.com. I also promoted the station's stories and events while engaging with viewers through social media.

I'm a community leader who often speaks to aspiring journalists and various groups.

I stay up to date with the latest trends and technology in digital media by attending conferences organized by the Online News Association, Investigative Reporters and Editors, and Society of Professional Journalists.

I speak, read, and write Spanish well.

I spend my free time with my husband and toddler. I love to work out, travel, read, cook and support local businesses.

I'm currently seeking hosting, anchoring, voice over, media consulting, content writing, speaking, and volunteer opportunities.
