I began this journey when I was 30 years old but I didn’t realize it was a journey at the time. I thought it was called survival, earning a living, a career. I quit a job as a Medical Technologist to chase the American Dream and become an independent beauty consultant with a cosmetic firm. One year later I joined the ranks as a Sales Director and moved up the ranks to wealth and riches planning to retire with any income that would provide for me and my family for the rest of my life and their life……then a major physical crisis happened 20 years into this beautiful life and I discovered the only person I could count on was my husband. The company that I had dedicated my time to asked me to resign from my position so I was left to fight an illness and re-invent my life.

But when God closes a door he always opens a window. Many wonderful doors opened over the next 20 years. Because I was lucky enough to marry a great husband that spoils me rotten and worked for an airline I trained as a Medical Hypnotherapist with several of the top trainers in the country, I became a Certified Court Videographer, and I developed several business that I operated from my home and still do. It was important for me to have a business that I could have complete time flexibility because I still had the illness that did not have a diagnosis.

During the past 20 years the more I went to Doctors and the more medications I was given the worse my condition became so I decided over time to look toward Nutrition, and slowly I started removing any and everything from my immediate environment, cleaning products, body & hair care products, skin care & cosmetics, and fresheners that had any toxic chemicals, and I found I had longer periods of remission from symptoms.

Two years ago May Clinic finally was able to diagnose my condition. I have a condition called “Brain Stem Migraines” which when I have one gives me the symptoms of Mini Strokes. I was given a small medication that I take twice a day along with removing the chemicals from my environment and I have had no symptoms for two years.
