I grew up in Texas, where my grandmother kept tubs of supermarket pimento cheese in the fridge. I'm now the food editor of The Journal News, where I also produce the Small Bites blog at LoHud.com. I've won awards from The Associated Press and The Association of Food Journalists for my work. I've hosted televison shows, produced food videos and edited magazines, too. I'm also a freelance writer, mostly for Arrive, where I am the primary food writer and cover arts and theater, including Broadway. And I'm the co-founder, with my husband, of sourcherryfarm.com, which chronicles what our family eats, drinks and grows on a tiny but bountiful plot of land in Nyack, NY. I still love pimento cheese, but now I make it myself.
