Lizabeth Rogers
Liz says, "In retrospect, my thirty years in the entertainment industry has been the introduction to my real passion...telling stories that matter".
Real stories about real people and real issues are her passion and “Hot Water” is the third of Liz’s documentaries, following the multiple award winning films, “On Sacred Ground” and “Catching Dreams”.
Beginning her career with Radio station broadcast and management all over the western United States, to television voice over work (Seinfeld, Ellen) and post production management for Warner Bros. Studios in Hollywood, to feature film development and production – Liz has rounded out her experience by learning to climb fences and get footage where others cannot.
When she learned that she had been dubbed by the press as ‘The Erin Brokovich of Uranium Mining’, Liz quipped “…well, the old, fat Erin Brokovich…with trucker mouth”.
Determined to make a difference, Liz has dedicated her life to her work with groups and companies whose focus is on environment, education and health. She is Co-Founder and board director of The Hestia Gaea Foundation whose mission is to support educators in health, nutrition and the environment. She is also a board director of GardenChef Paul Company, whose founder Paul Wenner invented the Gardenburger and currently is the inventor and producer of the GardenBar™ – a whole food savory bar. Liz has worked with Paul on the development of the GardenBar™ since its beginning and is currently editing and designing his latest book release, titled “The Power of our Forks”.
Liz’s next film, titled “The Long Way Home” tells the story of her brother Mark and his son Jonathan as they confront the challenge of hiking the Appalachian Trail – and the challenge to their faith when Jonathan is diagnosed with brain cancer.
Liz and her husband, Oscar winner Donald C. Rogers work closely together and have made their professional logline:
Travel the world…
Take the back roads…
Tell stories that matter…
