Hi! My name is Elizabeth Crowther and I am a nursing student at Clemson University. I am currently working on my Global Health Certification, which will allow me to travel to Peru next May with a select group of my peers in an attempt to provide health education and nursing care to locals of small villages all over Peru. This blog was created in an attempt to share some of the things that I have learned this semester in my class about social determinants of health in low resource countries while preparing for my time abroad. I hope that this blog shines light on some of the many global health issues that are present in the world today.
