I have been fanatical about cars and especially Formula 1 for as long as I can remember.

The earliest recorded evidence of petrolhead activity was in an adventure park aged 6 when my frantic parents eventually located me on a go-kart (where I'd been racing for a whole hour).

Finally coming to realise that as a thirtysomething mum of two, my dream of working in the high-octane and jet-setting world of F1 may be beyond me. So writing about the sport that I love with a passion is the next best thing.

I've very lucky that my husband is (almost) as bonkers about F1 as me. My 5 year old thinks that Michael Schumacher was the greatest driver ever and who am I to argue!
