Hire me

Hi there! I'm Liz, and I'm passionate about research, policy, and accessibility, particularly in relation to healthcare and psychological services.

I'm always striving to engage in any activities which can broaden my understanding of the way others experience the world. Starting with a double degree in Development Studies and Arts at ANU, I've been lucky to explore a wide range of subjects including Gender Studies, Sociology, Politics, International Relations, and Economics. This has enabled me to take a holistic approach to understanding the structural and personal factors that shape the ways we live our lives, in ourselves and in the world.

As a fierce advocate for social justice, I have always been driven to develop my understanding of the drivers of structural change, and of the ways people negotiate their internal and external worlds. This has motivated me to strive for a PhD in Clinical Psychology - but I've always wanted to make a difference on the way. As such, I've taken on roles across different sectors of the health industry, from research to customer service, finding whatever ways I can to contribute to helping vulnerable people's quality of life.

I'm particularly motivated to address mechanisms of marginalisation. Most of my academic work (where I get any free rein) is focussed around the struggles of people of marginalised genders, LGBTQIA+ people, chronically ill, disabled, and/or neurodivergent people, Indigenous people and their communities, and CALD people and asylum seekers. I always jump at the opportunity to address structural marginalisation, whether it's by conducting research, crafting communications, or old-fashioned pounding the pavement.

So help me make a difference, and go ahead and reach out!
