Lizzie Turkevich

Lizzie Turkevich is an enthusiastic and creative television professional who first started producing features in Washington, DC. Her passion for international story-telling drew her to subjects such as the athletes of the Olympic Games, Afghanistan's illegal drug trade and exploration of the Mariana Trench.

In the past, she has produced content for Voice of America/State Department, Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet and Science Channel. She has continued her Olympic path by creating feature stories in Beijing (2008), Vancouver (2010), London (2012), and Sochi (2014). Lizzie and the NBC team received an Emmy in the spring of 2009 for their work in Beijing and in 2013 for their work in London.

In the past couple of years, Lizzie conquered new challenges such as producing a program in 3D, developing and producing live shows, and producing her first scripted show. That program, Mermaids: The New Evidence, became the highest rated show in Animal Planet history.

Currently she is working on a variety of short and long-form programming for TLC.

Lizzie works in Silver Spring, Maryland and lives in Arlington, Virginia.
