Lizzie Johnson

Hey there! My name is Lizzie Johnson and I’m from Syracuse, New York. I’m currently a junior classical pianist studying Fine Arts and Music Industry in the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University.

I’ve grown up around music my whole life, as my father is an opera singer so I was introduced to classical music at a very young age. My favorite classical composers are Beethoven, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff. Despite my classical upbringing, I listen to a wide variety of music ranging from heavy metal, jazz, to folk rock. Some of my favorite artists are Metallica, Rammstein, Led Zeppelin, Laufey, Hozier, and Billie Eilish. When I really enjoy an artist, I will listen to their entire discography and any piece of media they may appear in, like interviews or documentaries about them.

Something that often goes under the radar is those who work behind the music, such as stage crew, producers, roadies, etc. I plan on pursuing a career in stage management and studio production, the process of music production in any form is fascinating to me.

Of course I love music, but besides that, some other hobbies of mine are hiking, being with animals like cats or reptiles, movies (favorite movie of all time is the Lord of The Rings, extended version only), drawing, and cooking!
