Ljubomir Medenica

Professor and Consultant in Juneau, Alaska

Hello,

I have a tong-twisting and heartful Slavic name (Ljubomir means Love and Peace), so simply call me "LJ." I am a professor of management at the University of Alaska Southeast, in Juneau.

Between pomegranates in my birthplace in Montenegro and whales and bears in Alaska, I squeezed over 50 years of passionate roller-coaster journey. I am an unstoppable wonderer chasing challenges across three continents and several dozen countries. I worked and earned my bruises, deep joy, and life-long lessons as a management consultant, executive, small-business owner, leadership and team-building coach, and professor.

Many of us are like a pomegranate with a tough, thick, impenetrable skin hiding its inside treasures. I feel that all those seeds of our past, present, and future sweet, bitter, and juicy life stories can be fully ripe only if we share what we have underneath our pomegranate crown.

Let’s share stories and enable others to learn from our experiences.
