Lisa Kristeena Johnson
Aloha, I'm an aerospace engineer recently graduated from the MIT Aero/Astro and I love building satellites.
I currently work at Aurora Flight Sciences in Cambridge, MA designing satellites which includes working on DARPA's PHOENIX Mission. I've been with Aurora since my graduation from MIT in June '12.
During my time at MIT I was project manager of thruster techonology test bed nanosat, designed the power system for a nanosat utilising two 2km tethers to precipitate high energy protons and electrons from the Radiation Belts (similar to the AFRL's DSX), and did preliminary design work for the MIT instrument on NASA's OSIRIS-REx spacecraft.
I enjoy flying small aircraft (cessnas and traumahawks), scuba diving, and rock climbing when I have spare time. Every Sunday I work at the Charles Hayden Planetarium in the Boston Museum of Science giving presentations on the sky tonight and the future of spaceflight.
Please check out my linked in if you wish to know more about my satellite building experience and feel free to contact me if you are in the industry and would like to make a connection.
