My name is Lauren. I am 36 and a single mom to Olivia, age 6, and Ty, age 4. I was diagnosed with late stage Chronic Lyme Disease 4 years ago, and have been fighting it ever since. I live in Ohio and travel to D.C. to the national expert Dr. Joseph Jemsek at the Jemsek Specialty Clinic where they only treat Lyme and related diseases. On top of that, I realized my son had Congenital Lyme Disease (which means he contracted it while in utero) and he has had many disabilities because of that diagnosis. When he was 2, he was also diagnosed with Lyme Related Autism. Luckily for us, Olivia is healthy! She is my beautiful, energetic, tiny dancer. So Lemons over Lymes? God didn’t hand me Lemons, he handed me Lymes. I try to stay positive that this is all going to turn out fine in the end. Ask me anything about Lyme Disease as I know feel like I am pretty well versed in it and I will try to answer all questions. I am still learning as we go with the Autism. Thank God Ty began to finally speak, and I mean speak his first word, at 2 months shy of his 4th birthday.
