Leopoldo Agustín Lagos

Mechanical Engineer, Designer, and Artist in Buenos Aires, Argentina

Born in Rosario, Argentina (1987)

In 2005, I began studying Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Rosario. In 2007, I got involved in live shows as lighting designer. In 2009, I left university to begin a journey of self-learning, focus in electronic of LED screens, and started an entrepreneurship called LedWay, where I designed and manufactured lighting objects and artifacts for live performances. Then I made interventions in various clubs in the city of Rosario. In 2011, I began working in Broadway Theater in the city of Rosario, where I was responsible for the maintenance, operation and installation of 75 square meters of a high-resolution LED screen. Also participated as video technician in international tours (Luis Miguel, Ricardo Arjona, Calle 13, Mana). In 2012, I designed a virtual scenery for the musical comedy "Aladdin" with the direction of Martin Selle. In 2013, I returned to my studies in engineering and started to do an internship in General Motors. In 2014, the executive committee of the company recognized the results of the implementation of my proposals for improvement. In June 2015, I presented my final project where I designed a wind power machine that use a kite for harvesting the wind and I obtained the degree in mechanical engineering.
