Layonda Lawrence

On January 2, 2012, Prophetess Priscilla Lawrence launched “The Layonda Foundation,” an organization that will educate, support, and minister to those suffering with Lymphedema and Chiari malformation. Because Lymphedema causes the body’s extremities (arms and legs) to become uneven in size, she is developing a special clothing and shoe line for those with lymphedema due to the complications of finding properly fitting attire.These two devastating and life-altering conditions, cause severe pain and swelling in the right upper and lower extremities of her body, making movement and walking difficult. On numerous occasions the pain in her head causes difficulty eating, hearing loss and visual disturbances that lead to moments to temporary blindness. These conditions caused her to stay under a doctor’s care and often left her unable to play as a child. As a result, she began reading and writing poetry to encourage herself.
