In 1994, my life took a drastic turn. In my final year of medical school, I had a profound experience on a trip to South America that would change my life's course entirely.
In a single night, it became clear to me that the answers offered to mankind by science were insufficient to answer the massive questions I held about life, time, and the human experience.
Rather than dedicate my life to the minutia of microbe and macrophage, I left medical school and began travelling the world, seeking the esoteric wisdom of the world's myriad cultures.
Over the course of 20 years, I studied under more than 50 teachers: Researchers, brujos, shamans, astronomers, astrologers, and the like. The knowledge I've gained is a priceless reward for my time sepnt.
Sharing my knowledge is the only natural thing for me to do at this point. I certainly don't consider myself, "englightened," quite the opposite, in fact. My journies have been humbling, eye-opening, and above all, real.
