I left school at 16 with few qualifications. My only qualification is that I was raised by a strict disciplinarian father with Victorian values and I understood from an early age that nothing in life is free. Everything is there for the taking depending on how hard you are prepared to work.

Career History

I spent my early years working in the retail sector starting at counter level and worked my way through to sales and after three years to the position of Sales Manager by the time I was 21.

After five years in retail I moved to the recruitment industry again starting at the bottom as a permanent employment interviewer and placer through to area manager within four years.

At the age of 26 I was approached by a friend and asked to come for an interview with a mailing and marketing company. I joined and again stayed with the company for around five years eventually running my own sales team. It was from here that I was approached by the UK's largest Direct Marketing company and offered a position as a junior consultant on a salary and commission package that excited me. Within four years at this company SR International plc I was promoted to Managing Director and remained with the company for a further two years. We are still operating today though my duties are limited to around 2 days per week as I have an excellent team in place running the operation on a day to day basis. The business specialises in data marketing on every level. Though of course all businesses follow the same and simple rules.
