Luis was mesmerized at eight years old when he saw the sculpture of a methane molecule outside the Faculty of Chemical Sciences of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (in Chihuahua, Mexico). Years later he would obtain two BS in Chemistry and a MS in Biotechnology from that same Institution.
Luis also undertook some coursework in Film Studies.
Feeling the call of academia, he's taught several courses (like Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry) at High School and Undergraduate levels since 2000.
Former part-time professor of physical chemistry and biochemistry to premed students at the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. Former part-time professor of undergraduate Biochemistry at the Universidad del Valle de Mexico (Campus Chihuahua) and undergraduate biochemistry and microbiology to Nutrition Science students at the Universidad de Durango (Campus Chihuahua).
