Lisa McDonald

I am a physician entrepreneur focused on improving communication in healthcare through technology innovation.

I live in Houston, Texas, USA, with my husband and my dog, Spoonfed the Papillon. I am from Tomball, Texas, and I have previously lived in Austin, New Haven, and Los Angeles.

I love to travel for business and for pleasure, and I collect magnets from every place that I visit - my magnet collection is the background photo! My favorite places to travel are the Middle East, Scandinavia, California, and the South Pacific.

My interests include social entrepreneurship and philanthropy, and I am currently fundraising for a philanthropic project focused on acquiring and deploying telemedicine technology to remote international medical clinics and connecting these clinics with U.S. physicians.

I enjoy endurance sports (marathons, triathlons) and golfing, training my papillon at dog obedience classes, and traveling with my husband.

I am an Innovation Advisor for the Houston Technology Center, a supporter of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship, and a member of the Conroe Speaks Toastmasters.
