LMNT Poetry is more than an open mic—it's a movement. Hosted quarterly at The Kre8ive Shop studio, this free community event has become a cornerstone for emerging poets, spoken word artists, and performers from all walks of life. Founded under the umbrella of the nonprofit organization Artist Take, LMNT Poetry was created to provide a consistent, inclusive platform for raw expression, cultural storytelling, and artistic growth.

At its heart, LMNT Poetry is about voice—particularly the voices of artists from underserved, predominantly Black and minority communities. Whether it's a first-time poet or a seasoned performer, everyone who takes the mic is met with support, energy, and the opportunity to be heard without filters or expectations.

Each event blends powerful performances with an atmosphere of community, creativity, and connection. Artists leave with more than applause—they leave with inspiration, new relationships, and often a renewed sense of purpose.

To honor standout talent, LMNT Poetry also features The Spotlight Verse, a digital highlight series that gives special recognition to selected poets for their impact and excellence.
