Luncheon Master here, top authority on not knowing what to do when you start writing online.

Everyone has an artist of some sort inside them. Be it with strings that play music, a brush that paints, or a pencil that writes, something inside them compels them to pick one up and do something. The most difficult part in the journey is finding the audience, the canvas, the notepad.

Being one such writer, lost in a world of choices without direction, the Luncheon Master found his way. He found another writer just like him, and another, and soon they had created a group. The group was still surrounded by a world of many choices, but as long as they could exchange their ideas with one another they were happy, so they planted their feet and made an domain name where they could write. Without much idea on how to write, the group searched and found that there were many others like them on the web. "Writing forums," they were called. So instead of sticking around on their little plod of internet, the group found a pre-existing writing forum with a large member base and made themselves at home.

A decade and a half later, the Luncheon Master has managed other user experiences on the forum Valucre for seven years.

Figuring he had some knowledge to impart on readers who were still lost in the world of too many choices, he began writing a blog aimed at helping such writers who needed to find groups of their own.
