As a kid, fitting in can be stressful. You have to talk the right way, eat a certain way, hang out with the right people. As you grow older you realize that fitting in is not as important as it once seemed. However when you were younger, being accepted socially was make or break. Many young children struggle with communication disorders that hold them back from feeling like they belong. As a sophomore at UGA studying Communication Sciences and Disorders it is my goal to help these children overcome their disability, and help them realize that something as small as a speech problem can't hold them back from accomplishing their goals.
