Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Upon completing secondary school in Hamilton, Ontario, I spent about ten years travelling across Asia and Europe as an international fashion model. Nope, I'm not joking! It was hard work, fun, and taught me a whole lot of invaluable life skills. During those ten years I spent four years completing my Bachelor of Arts degree at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario. Upon graduation I leveraged my international knowledge by doing a work placement at the Embassy of Canada in Washington D.C.

Last summer, my life took a dramatic turn as I retired from fashion and international affairs, gave Algonquin College's Technical Writer program a try, and jumped into the world of software at a rapidly growing startup. Entering a whole new field of work where I get to try everything -- from building business dashboards, programming to marketing -- means that every day my brain happily exploding with new information and skills.
