It was previously known as Komatsu Rents but the name was changed later as a way of showing their alignment with the company that hosted them before 2003, SMS Constructions and Mining Systems Inc. The company is part of the larger Sumitomo Corporations Group that parents a number of equipment provider companies worldwide. Under the able leadership of Marcel Langlois, SMS Rents has quickly grown to become a top supplier of equipment and tools.

Marcel has had more than 20 years’ experience working with big multinational companies, all dealing with supply and manufacture of construction, mining and industrial equipment. His extensive and successful background in sales and marketing, international business development and operations management has been instrumental to the company’s growth and development. As President of the 11-year-old company, he has seen it take its place as a leading equipment provider for contractors, resource companies and mining and industrial facilities in the region.
