Locke Howington

Hello, My Name is Locke Howington. I'm Actually from the south in an area called Augusta, Georgia. My home actually says a little bit about me and my personality. Augusta is known to most from the annual famous Golf tournament called the “Masters”. This has shaped my life in a way. Growing up in a life surrounded by golf, I play often and is a cool part of my life. I always love being out on the water, another activity I do often is water ski, its quite different then golf but I keep a good balance between the two. I'm studying Mechanical Engineering, I have always found things like boat engines and designs so fascinating and thought I'd make it apart of my daily life. By surrounding myself with it as a hobby and a way to learn and something to study about. I grew up having a twin brother. That is a large part of what makes me who I am. I have always had someone to compete with my entire life. At the same time I have always had a best friend that I get to do everything with. A lot of my inspiration on why I chose to study Engineering does come from my childhood experiences. I always had a huge interest in race cars and watching races on television. I think the strategies and planning that used in races is part of the way i live my life and where my inspiration comes from. I tend to plan ahead for things in my life to stay on top of things and also prepare for the worst. I want the most efficient and best way of living at all times. Thats a big part of the reason mechanical engineering has become such a large part in my life. The idea of presenting a problem and the process of finding a solution is what drives me.
