Lockerz

Lockerz’ mission is to be the homepage for Generation Z. Lockerz members get access to the latest videos, music, celebrity news, and more. Kathy Savitt started the company in 2009, and the company officially launched in 2010. Lockerz started with 50 members, one college student from each state. In three weeks, there were 3,000 members, and there were 150,000 members within a month. Today, Lockerz has more than 65 employees who work hard to serve the more than 47 million unique visitors monthly. Lockerz is also working to give its members even more benefits. In December 2010, the team at Lockerz released “Kill Spin,” its first original online series. Since that time, the company has also released two more original series. In addition, members can watch more than 3,000 videos from the Lockerz extensive video library. Lockerz introduced its new photo-sharing service in early 2011. This service includes special categories such as celebrity pics.

One of Lockerz' most important developments is a unique social network called fwb;). As with other social networks, members can create an online profile to share pictures, videos, their favorite brands, and other information. Lockerz rewards members for all of the normal interactions that take place online. Members earn PTZ for everything they do on the site: watching videos, inviting friends, sharing pics, buying things in Lockerz boutiques, answering daily questions, and more. The PTZ can be used to buy discounted clothing, electronics, travel packages, concert tickets, and more from the Lockerz online store. Lockerz currently has more than 200 brands, such as Xbox 360, 7 For All Mankind jeans, Wii, and more.
