Wow, I guess I've loved voices since "Joy is the Aim" or Laurie Anderson's "Strange Angels" or before that, my father's laughter and my first boyfriend's groans. Yes, I love voices, sung, spoken, overheard, ranted, and hushed. That's why I gave up a burgeoning acting career after a tour of Greece with a LaMama company to become a vocalist in NYC. I have worked with many fine musicians, including Dave Tronzo, Roy Nathanson, Jim Pugliese, Brad Jones, Eric Zinman, Will DiMartino and made three CDs thus far. I left the enchanted City of NY to head back to Boston after a very rough year. So here I am. Since here, I've published three books of poetry and prose-poetry, reviewed many poetry books for Ibbetson St. Press, been nominated for three Pushcart prizes and continue to channel and receive and summon the human voice.
In 2019 I got my MFA from Stonecoast in creative writing and recently taught at Emerson College.
Please look out for my new chapbook on Cervena Barva Press in 2022.
I am looking for other teaching positions now.
