Logan McHale
Oregon
Hi there! My name's Logan, and I'm a bit of a busy bloke these days. When I'm not at school working on my Energy Management Degree, I'm usually hard at work for my Landscaping and Energy Management clients.
I have loads of information and links about myself and my work below, but if you want the quick version
I have a broad breadth of education and work experience that stretches right across from the right side of my brain to the left. On the right, I have an undergraduate degree in Theatre Design and have loads of on the job experience painting sets and scenic backdrops. While I have since left theatre professionally, I continue to be very involved in the art community in Eugene and keep up my own aesthetic work every chance I get. In truth, I'm a bit addicted to art and design, and no matter where I am or what I'm up to in the world, I seem to always come back to design.
A little over a year ago, I realized that I loved these issues so much, I should try and get paid for it. So I enrolled in LCC's Energy Management Program. What a great program they have! I can't tell you how pleasantly surprised I have been with Lane. I've picked up loads of skills (including though not limited to those below) and the quality of their instruction has in some cases has exceeded my undergraduate experience.
I've picked up loads of skills, including though not limited to: mastery of the adobe creative suite- photoshop, indesign, illustrator especially; AutoCAD- Very proficient; Revit and Sketchup 3D modelers- moderate to expert; Data Analysis of Building Energy consumption including a wizardly comprehension of Excel; Web Design and Illustration.
Visit my website to see Case Studies in all many of these areas.
am treating it as a preparation to apply to the University of Oregon Architecture school for a Masters in Architecture.
I left college and moved out west 4 years ago and honestly have never made a better decision in my life. Eugene has been the perfect place for me to grow personally, and without this major life change I don't think I would have ever been so happy or found such a self-fulling path in life. [revise?]
Personally, I'm addicted to both design and function. I'm constantly stalking the internets reading about "sustainable design" and if I don't have some at least 3 books on my shelf I'm reading, then something is seriously, seriously wrong in the world. I also read the news obsessively, and - no jok
