I am a recent Applied Mathematics graduate from Texas A&M, currently working at Two Sigma Solutions as a Data Analyst. I also run a small gaming forum, Secret Level. My passions are math, programming, learning new languages, going on adventures, and games!
A few of my ongoing projects and/or hobbies (in varying states of completion) include:
- AutoAuth - a hierarchical PKI manager, protocol, and hardware dongle to enable password-less authentication and identity management.
- Learning Irish - I have a lot of languages I'd like to learn, this is just the first on my list.
- Saecula - a homebrew setting one of my D&D campaigns took place in.
- Mianach - a homebrew setting to contain a gaming system I'm designing akin to D&D, but with a custom cosmology and magic system using novel (perhaps too rigorous) mechanics.
- ParselTalk - a modular, extensible, threaded web forum written in Python.
- Game Server Launcher - a service to launch private game servers on-demand using Amazon Spot instances and preconfigured EC2 images.
- Learn Rust - Things are finally stabilizing, but there are still a lot of features governing idiomatic Rust code that aren't stable or are in RFCs. And, notably, one feature I really want is only a pull-request before becoming active(https://github.com/rust-lang/rfcs/pull/243). Still a very cool language that I want to learn.
- TaskView - a task / to-do list manager that organizes things the way Ithink they should be organized. Very ironic that I haven't gotten around to completing it.
- PeopleSuck.org - a website dedicated to raising awareness to contemporary issues which have known solutions, but aren't being done for some reason.
