Bethany Lojewski
Bethany Lojewski is a West Virginia University student who will graduate with an udergraduate degree in Child Development - Family and Youth studies in December of 2015. There she is an active member in the music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota and a member of the West Virginia University Drumline in the Pride of West Virginia Marching Band.
She is currently interning with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through the WVU Children's Hospital, helping plan events to fundraise for families of children in care who cannot afford their medical bills and to better improve their lifestyles in the hospital. She has also volunteered in Children's Hospital, been a Summer Camp Counselor for three years, and also cares for children in a nursery.
She plans to continue her education after school to receive her masters in Child Life so she will be able to go on to become a Certified Child Life Specialist working in a Children's Hospital.
She is very involved with the Miss America Organization - Miss WV Organization. She has her own personal platform advocating about diabetes awareness and has also partnered with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals to raise funds and awareness. She held the title of Miss WV's Outstanding Teen in 2008. She received a scholarship award for Outstanding Community Service at Miss America's Outstanding Teen in 2008 and was also awarded the Four Points scholarship award at Miss WV 2014.
