Lolita Brinkely
New York
Lolita has a diverse range of professions and interests as an inspirational leader, coach, actor, lawyer and engineer. She goes above and beyond and loves prompting people to do even better than they hoped. In 2012, Lolita earned her MFA in theater from Sarah Lawrence College. She got hands on learning with the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, Shakespeare & Co., Kevin Confoy, Catherine Fitzmaurice, John Dillon, Michael Early and Ed Sherin. She is now studying to be a teacher to teach the Alexander technique and will soon be training to teach the Fitzmaurice voice technique.
Lolita acts in a manner that helps her audience take a look at themselves through the characters she portrays. Her many appearances as an actor speak to her ability, lending credibility to her coaching. She has most recently performed in William Shakespeare's "The Winter's Tale," Tracey Scott Wilson's "The Story," "The Misanthrope," "The Seagull" and Michael Bradford's "Living in the Wind." She also has an extensive television and film career with roles on "As the World Turns," "One Life to Live," "Law and Order: SVU," "The Absence of Love," "The Odds" and "Inspire/Luck Suit."
Lolita started coaching in 2008. As of December 2012, she will be certified by NYU's Coaching Certification Program. She is the founder of Unleashed by Lolita, which is a coaching service for parents who need help empowering themselves so they can empower their children. The process is not therapy. It is coaching to help people help themselves.
As a parent of two children, Lolita knows that children need to feel loved by themselves and their families and that parents want to give them that chance. Unfortunately, families sometimes get into cycles that perpetuate bad behaviors and do not foster secure love. Through her Unleashed coaching plan, Lolita teaches parents how to look to themselves and find confidence and bravery while becoming the model adult that they hope their children will admire.
