Lona Panter

From spearheading a hand-designed high school newspaper to editing a biweekly paper in the metro-Atlanta area, Lona has had one goal -- to tell stories.

Her work has run the gamut from soft features to hard news. Her goal is to tell the complete story, which oftentimes involves lots of research, visual aids and a personal investment in the lives and issues which affect her readers.

A native of Blue Ridge, Ga., she now lives in Athens -- home of her beloved Georgia Bulldogs -- with her well-behaved son and ill-behaved dogs, Anthony and Bukowski.
