Diego López de Murillas García

My name is Diego and I love art!

At school I enjoyed drawing and painting, but as an adult I stopped due to lack of time and work commitments. I often watch documentaries about artists (both old and modern) and have enjoyed watching the more recent 'artist of the year' type competitions on the television. Whilst watching a documentary showing ordinary people painting portraits, I was inspired by the different styles and methods of painting and it made me want to have a go too! Starting to paint again has brought a lot of happiness into my life, I love it!

I use acrylic paints and enjoy painting a lot of character and history. I also enjoy painting vintage stars from 'old' Hollywood and burlesque artists.

I get a lot of enjoyment from painting and hope you enjoy looking at my work.
