Loredana De Vitis (Lecce, 1978 and 2014) graduated in Philosophy with honors and a thesis about press & childhood. She then specialized in strategic marketing and communications and worked as a market researcher, freelance journalist, communications consultant, Web content manager, trainer on communication, journalism and web writing. She currently works steadily for the University of Salento, dealing with corporate communication.

In addition to dozens of articles in newspapers (society, cultural, popular science columns), she wrote the cultural reportage "Welcome to Albània" (Lecce 2006), distributed in printed format in Puglia and the Balkan countries and viewable and downloadable online.

As a novelist, she won the national competition Subway-Literature with the short story "rossella and andrea. and Rossella and Andrea." (Milan 2011). With her first novel "tanto già lo sapevo" (Rome 2012) she won the "Holden" prize in the national competition ilmioesordio.

In 2013, she published the story collection "storie d'amore inventato" with 20090, editor based in Milan. Her last work "amori in cottura. 15 ricette per quello che dura" won the national competition ilmioesordio2015 as the best short stories collection.

Her cross-media project "Io sono bellissima - I am wonderful", which is a narration, through images and words, of a personal journey of "liberation" from the burden of stereotypes about women's beauty, was defined as a "new approach to self-determination extended to the culture of the body".
