Lorena Anderáos

Writer, Filmmaker, and Sociologist in Lisboa

I hold a degree in Dramatic Arts from Escola Superior de Artes Célia Helena in São Paulo, Brazil, and a Masters in Sociology from ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa in Portugal, where I have defended a dissertation about gender norms and romantic patterns in the Hollywood film industry.

I consider myself a storyteller. Throughout my life, I've explored diverse forms of narrative artistry, encompassing poetry, theater, literature, and most recently, cinema. My main field of academic interest is the connection between sociological studies of modern Cinema and their influential powers related to romantic relationships, sexuality and gender performances. For instance, I've been studying the effects of Disney princesses on the formation of heterosexual gender norms in young kids.

With my Master's degree now completed, I am currently seeking the next step in my professional journey. I am interested in job opportunities related to filmmaking, creative writing, sociocultural research and production. I would greatly appreciate any opportunities that align with my passion for understanding and contributing to the dynamics between art and society.
