Lorena Barbara Portilla

Hi, my name is Lorena Barbara. I was born on 1993 in Mexico City. I am currently studying at Full Sail University, one of the world's leading universities for entertainment media and arts, for my bachelors in Entertainment Business and Management. Before coming to Full Sail, I was studying Marketing in a university back in Mexico City (Universidad Anáhuac) for one year and a half. I have worked in an artist management company in Mexico called Marka Entertainment. In Marka Entertainment I was able to learn a lot from my boss; doing marketing plans, social media development, corporative communication, meet and greets organizing, brand positioning proposals and a lot about artist management. My boss took us to every event the company organized to help put everything together. I was lucky to work with famous artists such as, Paulina Rubio, Reik, Ana Victoria, and more. Moreover, I have worked as a personal manager for a local artist in Mexico City called Tania Barbará. When I was in high school I tried to find small jobs wherever I could to gain all types of experience; I have worked in a Japanese Restaurant called Japanika as waitress and host, in a hotel chain called NH as a receptionist and in Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Since I was 15 years old I loved organizing events, I became class leader in 2009 and school president in 2012. I am a very quick learner, extremely easy to adapt and very passionate about life and love. I consider myself to be a positive team leader, very creative, confident and responsible. I have excellent interpersonal skills and can get along with different personalities. I love music, dancing, watch new soap operas and go to the cinema. I am always trying to give the best that it is in me, and I have promised myself that I will never give up until I reach my goals and help others to do the same.
