"My name's Loren and I am a dude. With a chick's name. It's not a common name for a guy. I looked it up on the Internet and found out the name 'Loren' is Latin for, 'misread the ultrasound'."

And that was the first joke Loren wrote as a stand-up comedian. He's been out of the stand-up circuit for a while now, but the quirky, defiant, sincere, "I may not be your first choice but I'm happy to be all you've got!" attitude behind that joke is still in evidence today.
