I am currently pursuing a Masters degree in Linguistics at SJSU, focusing on the phonology of Miahuatec Zapotec as spoken in San Marcial Ozolotepec. This language is spoken in the region surrounding my hometown of San Mateo Rio Hondo, in the Sierra Madre del Sur in southern Oaxaca, Mexico.
