Loretta Chin

Writer, Editor, and Social Media Manager in Brooklyn, New York

Loretta Chin is seeking employment in the digital marketing/media, journalism, or communications field. She recently completed digital marketing training at CO*OP.

She was the CUNY FORUM 2015 editorial assistant and coordinator of the CUNY Asian American Leadership Initiative at the Asian American and Asian Research Institute of CUNY (AAARI). She is a former founding board member of AAARI and major contributing writer to the last five AAARI newsletters.

She also works at the Brooklyn College Children & Youth Studies Program and the Children's Studies Center for Research, Policy and Public Service. She is the managing editor of eight publications, and manages the websites and Facebook pages of the program and center.

She was a writer and former news editor of the Brooklyn College Excelsior Student Newspaper, news correspondent for WBCR radio 1090am, and a reporter for the Brooklyn News Service. She is the administrator of two Facebook groups for Brooklyn College journalism alumni and Asian American alumni.

She interned as a research assistant to investigative reporter Wayne Barrett at Newsweek/The Daily Beast and The Nation Institute.
