Leasburg, Missouri
Rex is a solar guy and DIY'er who has gained a lot of experience adventuring through Life's basic needs with a desire to be more self-sufficient. He grew up on a nearby cattle farm and then on to obtain his degree in Horticulture. His love was always in plants and horses - and food. He moved to Dallas for spicy food and lasting love and came back with a wife. He has found a way to combine the things he loves to do through sustainable living - incorporating landscape gardening, solar installations, and even some straw bale and cob building. Rex is also a BPI Certified Energy Analyst/Auditor and proctors building science exams for this relatively new and open field.
Lorian is an earthy girl who grew up loving music, nature and animals, playing in the creek and the mud, and enjoying the Arts. She has translated this love into her life adventures, which now includes being a mudder. Despite her degrees in Sociology and Political Science, Awareness served her well enough to be incisive about life and it's myriad illusions, ultimately noting that life is in focused intention and the Experiencing.
Rex and Lorian came to Missouri, starting their own businesses and then a family. Heralded by a gypsy-pioneer spirit, they moved to the forest, lived in a tent and built their homestead by their own hands and with the help of wonderful family and friends. Lorian home schooled their two beautiful children, who have many of their own accomplishments and a lovely life. This solar guy and earthy girl tinker with alternative building methods, harnessing some of the power of the Sun, and organic, natural homesteading - always striving for Balance and Ozark resourcefulness.
