Mother and Writer in Adelaide, Australia

I am a writer currently living in Adelaide, Australia, and you're right: I do look tired. That's because I have 3 kids under age 4.

I am currently pursuing a PhD through Deakin University, considering the role of literary criticism in creative writing. I am especially fascinated by Mikhail Bakhtin's architectonics and chronotopes. My creative work will also embrace trauma theory, emphasizing the work of Cathy Caruth.

My professional background is in Law and Nursing. Before moving to Adelaide in 2010 I worked as a solicitor in Health and Insurance Law in Sydney (I don't miss the traffic, but I do crave the variety of ethnic foods and the sun on the Harbour).

If ever you come to Adelaide, I'm your girl for a relaxed round of the wineries in the Adelaide Hills, and a long lazy lunch. Or if you caught me on a regular day, you'd find me 'working' in a local cafe over hipster coffee (unless I had the kids, then you'd have to embrace the truth of chaos).
