Lorisa Myers

Video Editor and Director in Pueblo, Colorado

I'm passionate about both music and video production.

As a kid, the first instrument I learned was the flute. As I got older, I wanted to learn a different instrument. I chose the saxophone. I joined the jazz band & have loved jazz ever since.

In college, I started off as a music major, but it didn't feel right for a career. I volunteered at Rocky Mountain PBS and fell in love with production. Ever since, I helped and continue help with some of their shows. I have branched out and made my own short films. So far, three of them have won awards.

I currently work at KOAA News 5. My main title is video editor and morning weekend director. On Wednesdays though, I get to do other jobs. I used to work on our graphics, but now I go out in the field and shoot the story.

I'm looking to find a place where I can grow, learn, and create.
