Lori Smith
My name is Lori and I am a 30-something business owner that thanks God every day for the many blessings He has given me. My sister and I own a full service salon and day spa that our Mom opened 25 years ago. I have grown up with many of our clients and love my job - even working with 30 other women ;-) I maintain our website and take care of all the marketing - it's lots of fun!
I am Mom to 3 spoiled rotten fur-babies; a 6y/o cockapoo dog and (2) 8y/o rescued cats. I love coming home and having them greet me at the door. Best of all, they don’t talk back! I love nothing more than curling up on the couch on a cold, rainy day with a good book with the animals snuggled up next to me.
I just finished a 12-yr stint working for my bachelor’s degree. I have tried it all - education, psychology, french (yes, french!) and computer programming. I finally finished with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (which means I can do it all) from Lourdes College in July of 2010.
I am a big fan of anything made by Apple and don’t know what I would do without my MacBook, iPhone and AppleTV. You know what they say - “Once you go Mac, you don’t go back”
I read the entire Twilight series in a week (with many sleepless nights) and now am a diehard “Twifan.” I have always loved to read, especially now that I am not being told what to read (like in school). Along with enjoying Twilight fanfiction, I also love mystery novels. I don’t watch much TV, but when I do, it is usually Bachelor(ette), Castle and Ghost Hunters.
My love of music is one reason I was drawn to the Turbo Jam workouts, and for that I am extremely grateful! I lost 20 pounds my first month using this awesome program and it has given me a new lease on life. Turbo Jam introduced me to Beachbody products and I now use both their fitness and nutritional products. I have struggled with my weight my entire life, and always felt best (as I could) hiding under baggy, too-big clothes. After losing a total of 45 pounds, for the first time ever, I enjoy shopping for clothes and am no longer ashamed of my body. I love this feeling and want to do my part in fighting the obesity epidemic in the US, so I became a Beachbody coach. I still have a long journey ahead of me, but together we can reach our goals!
