Lorne Cross, MD has always known that he wanted to spend his life helping others. Because he was also fascinated in the medical sciences, a career in healthcare was a natural fit. He received his bachelor’s degree in biology, and then enrolled in medical school. He finished his degree and residency with the hope of being able to make a difference in the lives of his patients. For 17 years, he worked as a board certified anesthesiologist. During this time, he was published in the Canadian Journal of Anesthesiology. He then made the decision to transition to the field of Addiction Medicine.

Currently, Lorne Cross, MD works for Acadia Healthcare, where he serves in two distinct roles within his specialty of addiction medicine. He works as the Medical Director of Willamette Valley Treatment Center, a Medication-Assisted Treatment program specializing in treating Opioid Use Disorder. He is also the Medical Director of a new Opioid Treatment Program in Yamhill County Jail where he treats inmates struggling with Opioid Use Disorder.
