Having survived two botched thyroid surgeries for Graves disease, I was thrilled to be alive, albeit hypothyroid and hypoparathyroid. Years of ill health on Levothyroxine prompted me to research and eventually to petition the Scottish Government for Effective Thyroid and Adrenal Testing and Diagnosis. The parliament are listening.
