Lorraine Flanigan

Lorraine Flanigan has been a Master Gardener since 1999 and enjoys giving lectures and presentations as well as participating in gardening advice clinics. She works closely with the Toronto Botanical Garden as a volunteer and is editor of Trellis and the Through the Garden Gate Tour Garden Guide. Lorraine belongs to the Garden Writers Association and is a freelance garden writer and editor whose work has appeared in Canadian Gardening, Canadian Living, My Ontario and GardenMaking magazines. In 2007, her Canadian Garden article, entitled Show + Tell, was nominated for a National Magazine Award.

Her garden travel stories have been published in the Globe and Mail and Transitions Abroad. She has produced content for the e-Source Traveler website, Microsoft Home and canadiangardening.com. She also writes the City Gardening column in the Town Crier newspaper and publishes a blog-a-zine at citygardeningonline.com. Most recently, she has written for the Loblaw Companies President’s Choice Garden Facebook Page.
